Art for a Cause: Desenio x The Art Therapy Project
We are thrilled to announce Art for a Cause, a collection of new prints that will help to raise money for a mental health charity. As a company of art-lovers, we are well aware of the therapeutic potential of both making art and surrounding yourself with creativity. For Art for a Cause, a percentage from every purchase made goes towards supporting The Art Therapy Project, a NYC-based non-profit organisation. “Art has the power to heal, connect, and give voice to what words sometimes can’t express. That’s why this project means so much to us.” says Annica Walin, Executive Creative Director.

The collection features new prints from 30+ artists from around the world. Spanning photography, still life and figurative work, the interpretations of the theme have varied widely, but for every artist involved, the benefit of speaking more openly about mental health is deeply felt.
Many have arrived at creativity as an outlet following their own mental health struggles, while others are glad to have their art help raise money for such a vital cause.
Sissan Richart, a Danish artist with work in the collection says: “Creating art is, for me, and many creative people, the best way to clear your mind.”
While Katherine Puritscher says “For me, art is almost like meditation. It's an activity that allows me to switch off from the daily pressures and concentrate instead on being creative and present.”

Partnering with The Art Therapy Project
We are proud to be supporting The Art Therapy Project, with a percentage from every purchase from Art for a Cause helping to raise money for the organisation. Martha Dorn, Executive Director, at The Art Therapy Project is pleased to be working with us too.
"We’re excited to collaborate with Desenio on the Art for a Cause campaign. As like-minded organizations, we believe that creating art, observing it, and surrounding yourself with it can have powerful therapeutic benefits. At The Art Therapy Project, we provide group art therapy in a safe, inclusive space for those in need of mental health services. With Desenio’s generous support, we’re making art therapy more accessible to the communities who need it most."

The Art Therapy Project’s valuable work allows clients to feel connected and inspired, while exploring their personal mental health journeys. To date, they have helped over 10,000 people improve their quality of life with art therapy.
Annica Wallin summarises the project:
“Art for a Cause is more than a collection — it’s a way for us, together with our community of artists, to support mental health through creativity. We’re proud to collaborate with The Art Therapy Project and contribute to the important work they do every day. This is a cause close to our hearts — and we hope it touches yours too.”
