French illustrator Florent Bodart grew up surrounded by art; his father was a violin maker, and his mother a sculptor. As an artist, he loves exploring different materials and ideas and is known for his whimsical and playful illustrations.

“My creative process often begins with an idea that I try to sketch. After that, I’ll draw it on paper, scan it, and colourize it in Photoshop. I use many different materials like watercolour, gouache, pens and pencils,” he says.

Florent is mainly inspired by technology, nature, animals and vintage design. By combining different tools and techniques, he creates unique, sometimes surrealistic art illustrations full of colour.

“My biggest challenge is having too many ideas and I can work on ten illustrations simultaneously.”
